e-BOOKS AND READING

Fearlessly – a grandmother asks,

I never see my grandkids pick up a book. They do read on their devices, but this makes me nervous. What do you think?

Rory's reply

What I believe is that all kids, parents and teachers should complete 20 hours of Brainsarefun instruction, reading as many books and devices as possible. I want all kids to read 2-years above grade level no matter "how" they're evaluated. The simple fact is, most of what kids read these days is on a screen – at school and at home. The internet is great big! The kids have joined the revolution. Parents and teachers already feel behind.

Mastering reading is essential. If a child seems to be ignoring one device in favor of another may I suggest reading aloud for family unity.

These skills, tools and solutions also work with non-academic kids who need to experience success with reading, writing, listening, speaking, information organization, study-skills and math, fast!

Academic lives are saved and kids successfully continue their educations, "You can always go right back to the beginning and read aloud for family unity as early as tonight."

Thanks for all you do to flood kids with reading, math and study-skill success.

P.S. Computers in search of readers
