WANTED : COMPUTER ENGINEERS
Fearlessly – a mother asks,
I see a lot of jobs for computer engineers. I was wondering, do these jobs require math skills?
I thought it would be a good idea to have a real computer geek answer this one, so I called the only one I know who understands both hardware and software. Also, he started out as a math major so he knows how to add a couple of numbers. Jim Hind’s reply:
Math is not the essence of most computer engineers as it used to be (although it IS essential for electrical engineers, statisticians and graphical rendering type folks).
The best way to teach kids to “have it” is to flood them with reading, math and study-skill success. I know one thing, kids who succeed with reading, math and study-skills are going to have a much better chance of “physics and chemistry kind-of-thinking.” This is what our 3 free solutions are all about.
Use these 3-skills today. Every kid, all ages, all skill-levels will thank you, especially as we enter a new school year.
Thanks for all you do to flood kids with reading, math and study-skill success,
