CRYING OUT FOR SUCCESS
I had to find skills that were self-rewarding. The very act of "learning" had to be experienced as "success."
I had some excellent teachers and learned that "teaching" works. I learned:
- Positive reinforcement is any reward that increases the behavior you want;
- Negative reinforcement is any reward that decreases the behavior you don't want.
So challenging is this awkward and contrarian truth, that I had to write down my answers. It's hard as you shall see as you do it:
- Three behaviors I wanted to increase (in myself and/or others):
- A
- B
- C
- Three behaviors I wanted to decrease (in myself and/or others):
- A
- B
- C
