BRAINSAREFUN FEARLESS FRIDAY BLOG – Bright Futures With Reading, Math and Study-Skills – Friday May 9, 2014

FEARLESS FRIDAY – May 9, 2014
BOOK REVIEW – The Circle by Dave Eggers, (c) 2013

I think that people, like me, who experience reading The Circle as "boring" and the characters "shallow" are getting the point exactly. Yes boredom. Yes shallow. Is this what the "Information Age" is all about? Looks like it to me.

Life in the social "circle" provides another opportunity for "rich" content, contemplation and reflection, that's why I'm suggesting it to others. The Amazon reviews are worth a look.

Assuming the best, the kind of social connectivity described in detail in The Circle appears inevitable for most of us who are destined to read, write, listen, speak, organize information and succeed with math.

I'd like to hear about your views of the future. I wonder if your view includes a ton of "social" and computers. I bet.

Thanks for all you do to flood kids with reading, math and study-skill success. Let me know how I can help.
