BRAINSAREFUN FEARLESS FRIDAY BLOG – Brighter Futures With Reading and Math – Friday August 9, 2013

I hate the first day of school. No matter how young or old you may be, it's a disaster waiting to happen. Especially if you're a new kid, or a little unsure or sad, or talk funny, or have funny hair…

There are so many ways to set up entire schools for success the first day, but it takes a special staff to organize it. This is a staff committed to "catching kids doing the right thing and rewarding them immediately." This is a staff committed "answers first," a couple of basic teaching scripts and a consistent format. It's not that hard, but you need to learn how and when. The question is, "Who's in charge of making it happen?"

Who at your school is responsible for success on Day One?

Thanks for all you do to teach kids to succeed with reading and math. Let me know how I can help.
